L. Dene’t Stephens

…the Author

L. Dene’t Stephens resides in Southern California with her family and aspires to be known as a theologically based writer. As an Ordained Deaconess she has served as a Women’s Christian Educational Instructor. She considers herself a lifelong “Bible Student.” To her credits, she has been a long time Member of the “International Women’s Writing Guild“, “The Editorial Freelancers Association“, and (before it dismantled), a member of “The Association of Independent Authors”, and also a “Good Reads” Author. She was a Guest Author and participant at the 2014 Top Ladies of Distinction Area 6 Literary Café in Culver City, CA. In 2015 she appeared at the L.A. Book Fest sponsored by Los Angeles County Public Library Branch – AC Bilbrew Library, and has been an exhibiting Author at the Leimert Park Village Book Fairs 2015 and 2016, Black Writers on Tour 2015 and 2016, in addition to having a mention on a “Pinterest Best Reads Site”.

L. Dene’t Stephens has other projects to her name, among them a collection of poetry, and a gospel play entitled “What if you had been there?” a story that puts a different narrative on the night Jesus was born.

Her passion for literature stems from a life long love of reading and story telling. She stepped out on “faith” when she penned her memoir “The Search for Sunshine” which was well received upon its release and publication in 2013. After a much needed hiatus, she is looking forward to a re-release of “The Search for Sunshine” made possible by True Vision Branding Solutions.
Without you as a reader and the honest reviews you’ve left on various social media platforms, she wouldn’t have had the courage to go further as a writer. You can’t begin to fathom the magnitude of her appreciation. Her ambition has always been to develop her craft and display her abilities to captivate her readers, drawing them in to the storylines and holding on to their fascination – to the endings that almost always, include a subtle lesson about life and the hope for healing that it contains for every individual. She indeed is the epitome of a Writer, Sage and Peacemaker.
